Hey poison ivy question! very important to me tht you answer?

ok im 14 years old

i have poison ivy in the inner part of my elbow and down tht arm

i have it on my cheek and on my neck

NO idea how i got it!

but how can i get rid of it QUICK! its so irritating help me!!

no quick cure , you can get some benadryl lotion for the itch and don't scratch it can spread don't wrap it as this makes it worse. if the itching is really bad take some benadryl capsules by mouth as per the directions on the box good luck.
Reply:I am currently suffering too!!! I feel for you. I have tried a few things over the past week or so. The thing that has worked best is a tube of "Medicated Anti-Itch Cream" I got at CVS. The active ingredient is Menthol 1% and Pramoxine Hydrochloride 1%. It feels wonderful. Good luck!
Reply:I'm sorry but you have to let poison ivy run it's course. you can use benadryl or cortisone or calamine lotions to ease the itching. FYI: scientists don't know that much about poison ivy, it's not life threatening..they don't know why some people are severely allergic to it and why others can play in the stuff and not be infected.

Reply:ok i had it once bad up my arm and down it too i have had it alot and know your pain well i do hair and when i was in school for hair i had to take a week off because i had it so bad i went into school and showed them it and befor i left 2 people told me to put bleach on it and it will dry it up
Reply:that stuff spreads like wildfire, dont itch it, dont touch it if you can help it, the oil from it gets on your hands and then can spread, your dr. can give you a cream like fluconide, or something like that, i think i spelled it wrong, that will help dry it up and get rid of it, in the mean time use calamine lotion for the itching and oatmeal baths..........good luck
