Distance Learning in Ivy League Universities?

I did my Bachelor of Commerce at Melbourne University. I am an Australian chartered accountant with 30 years of experience. Currently I am a trainer and motivator in multinational companies. In order to add more weight to my training profession I want to pursue a Distance Learning Masters in Psychology in an Ivy League University

Distance Learning in Ivy League Universities?
I find your question amusing -- because I am amazed that anyone thinks he can get an Ivy League degree on-line.



Many of the Ivy League schools are offering executive education courses through distance learning, and may incorporate it as part of some of their programs -- but they do not offer degrees through distance learning.



In addition, most of the better universities in the US do not accept master's students for their academic programs. They will offer terminal masters degrees, like MBA or M.Arch -- but for subjects like psychology, they only accept PhD students. None of the Ivy League schools accept MS students.
Reply:I'm afraid Taranto is right, that you will not find a distance learning program in an Ivy League university, certainly not at the graduate level. He is not, however, right in saying that no Ivy League school will offer an MS - his own school, the University of Pennsylvania, offers an MS in a number of subject matters (according to their own website), as do many of the other Ivies - it is just that you won't find these degrees in a distance learning format. Maybe that is what he meant, but not what he said.
Reply:It's honestly only a matter of time before these institutions start offering online degrees. Some major universities in my state are already doing this.

While it isn't yet happening, there is no doubt in my mind that it will simply due to the laws of supply and demand. (Yes, they are subject to this as well.)
