I have poison ivy.....?

Recently, I noticed that I have poison ivy on my legs. My question is my ankles and legs are swollen pretty badly. Almost how a woman feels when she is pregnant, with the water gain...that kind of feeling. I am wondering, and concerned is it normal for any swelling to happen??

I hope you took the benadryl. and you need to take 2 tablets every 5 to 6 hours.

it will not only help with the itching, but it also helps with the allergic reaction.
Reply:The swelling may or may not be related to the poison ivy. I have had poison ivy so bad that my legs have swollen, but then I was covered in it pretty bad. How badly do you have it? Is it a big solid mass? It could be all the blisters have not popped out yet, and it will be.



Take benedryl asap.



I would not be too concerned unless you are having difficulty breathing. If the swelling continues more than 24 hours and it is not soon accompanied by more blisters, you can have it checked out by your family doc.
