Benedryl and Bactine spray
Reply:I do feel for you as I have been in the same situation. I think between the fingers, on the palms of your hands and your feet are the worst.
Wash your sheets every day in hot water. Wear cotton gloves on your hands to stop the rash from spreading. Everytime you use utensils, plates etc. wash them in hot water, although someone else has to do the washing (I'm not sure how safe it is to use the dishwasher) unless you are wearing gloves. Don't use rubber gloves as you have to replace them after each use.
Wrap oatmeal in cheesecloth or a "J" cloth. Soak it in warm water in a sink or bowl and get your hands in there. Keep squishing the cloth around your hands %26amp; the the "milky" oatmeal will soothe.
Any antihistimine should help as well. Benadryl especially. You may feel doped up for a couple of days but it should relieve the itch. If you get too bad go to the doctors. I ended up getting shots every second day %26amp; was on a series of drugs as I developed a severe allergic reaction to the damn stuff.
Good luck and I hope it doesn't get any worse. I had it from the top of my head to the soles of my feet - even in my mouth. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
Reply:tifu oil
Reply:Oatmeal soap ~ tends to dry it out ~ Dont scratch persay ~ IF it continues and spreads ~ go see a dr and get some medication ~ and be careful not to touch yourself if you have rubbed or scratched ~ before you know it you will be covered ~ make sure no one uses any of your towels or facecloths ~
Reply:Some people say that a paste of vinegar and baking soda works wonders on poison ivy!
Reply:this might not help as I can not remember the name of the product, but I do know that it starts with a "Z" and its found at drug stores. You wash the area with it and within minutes the poison ivy will dry up and start to heal. I've used it before and was amazed, but like I said I can't remember the name of it
Reply:How can you have poison ivy between your fingers? Poison Ivy is a plant!
calamine lotion will only soothe it, If it's anything like stinging nettles, try rubbing your fingers with dock leaves (they grow next to the nettle plant). or...see a dermatologist!
