Oh yea, I am a students' councilor in my secondary school and my junior college. These "qualities" were apparently not enough as when I tried to apply for the direct admission into several junior colleges, I failed.

There was probably a flaw in your application. Have your writing samples or personal statements looked over. But if you are a sophomore or so, I think it's still even too early for early admission.

Besides straight As, Ivies look for very high standardized test scores, and academic achievement of honors level, as well as all of the stuff you mentioned about public/school/community service. They want to have the whole package, so start working on the other aspects. If you have straight As but your scores and application packages are lacking, you won't get it, they may just assume your school wasn't very demanding.
Reply:Are you black, red, brown, live on a farm have a disability, homeschooled

Harvard turned away 1,100 mostly white upper middle class students with PERFECT SAT scores but took a few disadvanted studnets with less than perfect scores.
Reply:As with any college or university, Ivy League schools look for grades, test scores and extracurricular activities. They look to produce future leaders. They look for things on your educational resume that make you stand out from the crowd. With an admissions rate of 9-20%, it will fall mostly on the things listed. However, race, location or family ties to the school may help you get in as well.

Also, brushing up on your English skills will definitely help you! I don't mean to be rude but your question contains many grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors that will look bad on ANY application, college or otherwise.

Good luck!
Reply:Knowing how to write well and correctly would certainly help.
