My father was a power lineman and he said they kept these vials of Immuno-Ivy in the truck's first aid kit--if you were exposed you wer supposed to drink this over a period of 3 days--he has never had poison ivy since.
I'm looking for info on Immuno-Ivy a l950's treatment for poison ivy-it was kept on power lineman's truck.
I used Immun Ivy as late as 1980s and it worked for me too. I am very allergic to poison ivy and I had no symptoms when I took it. I have not been able to find it since. I am not sure it is made anymore.
There are tales in folk medicine that settlers used a tea made from the young leaves of the poison ivy plant to prevent a reaction to poison ivy later on when clearing the land.
I found what appears to be a similar product on-line called Oral Ivy. I have not used this so I don't know if it works as well as the Immun Ivy did. Try the link below.

Yes, I used it back in the 70's when I lived in Oklahoma. Got the info from a lineman who swore by it. It worked for me too. I wonder why they quit making it.
