Help me please!!poison ivy! eeek?

I have a spot of poison ivy on my arm from about 3 days ago. I am not severely allergic but the spot i do have it is pretty bad. Its not very large at all, i seemed to keep it somewhat contained. Last night while i was sleeping a bunch of the blisters popped. I woke up about every hour because i was so worried about it. I would get up and wash it and put Ivy Dry and then calamine lotion on it. My dad says its healing. But i want to know how long it will take it to go away and if there is anything i can buy or do to speed up the healing process. All answers are greatly appreciated. thanks!

Buy some Tech-Nu.

This stuff works. I have used it and depending on how severe the rash was it might take a few days to heal but it stops the itch. There is an alternative product "Zanfel" that cost more but did not work as well for me.

Tecnu Extreme Poison Ivy Scrub is different from other products on the market in two ways.

First, it gets to the root of the problem by removing an ultra-potent and toxic substance called “urushiol” (ooh-roo-she-all) from the skin. Urushiol comes from the poison oak, poison ivy and sumac plants and attaches to the skin. It is the source of the poison ivy rash, irritation and spreading.

In addition, Tecnu Extreme contains an active ingredient to relieve itching fast!
Reply:Try Hyland's Poison Oak/Ivy pills. They really help my wife when she gets it.
Reply:Usually poison ivy runs it course in about a week. I just had a few spots on my arms 2 weeks ago. I scrub it and brake the blisters and then put rubbing alcohol on then calamine lotion . It burns for a few seconds but it stops the itching.
Reply:If nothing is helping with in the next two or three days go to the doctor and he will perscribe an ointment or something. Poision ivy could take a few days to a week or two to heal.
Reply:bleach will help kill it
