Poison Oak, Ivy and Sumac help!?
Take a hot bath with about a cup of table salt mixed in. Soak for about 15 minutes, making sure all the infected areas are soaked, then drain the tub but don't dry off. Allow your skin to air dry...the salt that dries on your body absorbs the poison and dries the blisters. Do that twice a day for a couple days and it'll clear you right up.
Reply:yes!!! Don't scratch! You'll get scars and it will take longer to heal if you keep picking. Oatmeal baths. Calamine lotion. Benadryl. Good luck with that.
Reply:i agree with medolfan1313.... And dont sre?atch! i really suggest that u really bettor go see a doctor first.. and QUICK
Reply:yes, you are causing harm by scraping off the blisters- let your skin heal!!!

And you might need steroids, like prednisone or decadron- but those are only available by prescription. See a doctor..it sounds like you have a bad case!
Reply:Buy Fels Naptha soap and wash it well.
Reply:Need something to scare you off scratching? IF you scratch hard enough and break your skin you can allow the poison into your blood stream where it can spread to ANYWHERE on your body. Normally it will only affect the area where the plant contacted your skin but scratching can make your suffering much worse. In the future besides trying to avoid the plant which is the most obvious choice, shower after walks in the woods and be careful petting your animals after they've been in the woods because they can carry it on their fur!
Reply:yes try not to scratch that will cause it to spread . wash with cool water and use calamine lotion which you can buy at any drug store or walmart
