I know it is possible that you can get poison ivy again up to a year after an initial outbreak from clothes that have absorbed the oil, urushiol. But I am pretty sure that I have not gotten it again from clothes. It randomly reappeared on my neck recently, its not that bad and hasn't been spreading, except a small bump on my hand. My main question is is it possible to get it again from oil you may have in your system (or must I have gotten it again from clothes)? which may not make much sense. Otherwise, I have put caladryl on it and it seems fine. Also, I did seem to get some small bumps from it after the major outbreak passed, like on my fingers.
Poison Ivy again, 2 months later?
Go see a doc. They have a shot now that makes it go away faster.
Reply:You realize that the shots are only for really serious cases and this was just a small recurrance of it, and anyway, it is almost gone now, without any treatment. Report It
Reply:Go see a doctor
Reply:Please go to the doctor and have it diagnosed. If it is poison ivy, you have come into contact with the offensive weed again, either directly or on your clothing. The urushiol oil that many people react to tends to be difficult to remove from clothing. Wash in hot water several times! If that is not an option, discard the clothing.
