I am also interested in what the average GPA was for those of you who got into Ivy League. Please state if they are weighted or unweighted.
For Ivy League School graduates:What were your SAT scores? New or old SAT?
I took the SAT twice--my college took the highest score from both sections and combined them--I got a 1480 this way. On my highest single test, though, I got a 1460.
Kind of sucky scores, but I lived with it.
High school unweighted GPA was a 98.8.
I don't remember the weighted GPA--I think it was 103 something because of all the APs.
I hope this helps.
My scores weren't so great, but what really helps is extracurriculars.
My friend got an 1130 on the SATs but was really involved in the community and had a really convincing story and got into the Ivy League as well. Her GPA was only a tenth below mine, though.
The point is, it's more of who you are than your scores that make you attractive to the Ivy League. Also helps if you display interest in one particular Ivy and not just the notion of going to an Ivy League School.
