Are Ivy League students being stereotyped?

Is it just a stereotype or Ivy League students/private schoolers think of themselves higher-classed, smarter, cooler, sexier, more promising than everyone else?

Are Ivy League students being stereotyped?
90% of the time they are rich for some reason or another, trust funds or prodegies that built an online business when they were 15. Ivy League changes people. Example best friend who was rich and pretty smart he got accepted to Harvard and when he came home his first summer after frosh year he was the biggest prick ever.... I mean as his best friend I couldn't stand being around him after he went to ivy league
Reply:Like all stereotypes not all of them are like that. But I think some of them do think that way. A kid from my school recently went full-ride to Harvard and that's all everyone talked about. All the other seniors who had gotten into really good colleges like UW-Madison and even Cornell didn't count anymore. No one knew about them. Everyone knew about the "golden boy". So yes, I do think, not only the ivy league students themselves, but also everyone else stereotypes them.
Reply:Inside they know they suck, so they have to keep on acting like that, and say stuff to build their puny self esteem, if they have any left.
