I was speaking to a friend of mine, and I got to thinking. She is on the dance team (and has exceptional skill), okay grades, is somewhat involved in Key Club, went to Princeton's summer school, and is taking just as many AP classes as I am. I, however, am totally involved in Key Club and NHS, mostly involved in tennis, and greatly involved in journalism. Although, I really don't have any exceptional skill at anything (besides writing), but I do have better grades.
If we were both to apply to an Ivy League University, who would be most likely to be accepted? Why?
(I promise, we're not competitive. I was just wondering.)
About the Ivy League....?
Well, you described yourself much better because you wanted to be chosen. lol Am I right? I'm sure your friend has some better qualities than you, as you do over her.
The colleges not only want exceptional grades and active participation in school events, but also a lot of community service and exceptional SAT/ACT scores. You WON'T be accepted to an Ivy League unless you almost get a perfect score on the SAT. Hope that helps!

Reply:In my opinion, your grades and your involvement in activities like Key and NHS and journalism make you a 'better' candidate.
Reply:i think you would, but what is important is also your test scores, ACT and SAT.
Though they are not alwasy looking for that perfect person.
Good Luck.
