Ivy League?
I think you may have a chance at a lower level ivy...Cornell or possibly Brown.
If you want a percentage chance of getting in go to www.mychances.net and enter in your information. It will take it into account and give you a percentage chance of getting in (like 86.5% or whatever yours is for any specific school) . It's free, so there are ads and it isn't 100% accurate, but it can give you a general picture.
Reply:What state is your high school in? Is it public or private? The answers have some weight in the overall decision with an Ivy League school . . . but you seem pretty intelligent and devoted to your studies, which is what really counts. I think you're good enough, I was accepted to New York University, with not nearly as many extracurriculars as you, and my GPA wasn't as high. I had an international friend who was accepted and attended Harvard University, and her SAT score was only a 1300 (three years ago, the highest score was a 1600) and her foreign high school's GPA wasn't very high, either. You'd be surprised who's accepted into the Ivy League, sometimes. I'd definitely give a shot, you seem to have potential.
Reply:The Ivy League is a waste of money. Schools like UC Berkeley, MIT, and Stanford provide a much better quality education than the Ivy Leagues and the Ivy Leagues are just famous because they are older than all the other colleges, because of their name, and because they cost more and rich people go to them. I would say that you have a good chance at an Ivy League school, if that is what you really want, however.
Reply:i think the Ivy League is overrated.
Reply:if you have to ask then, no
just do it, and quit worrying about being popular or getting others approval
Reply:I think so. You could probably get into Cornell and Brown. Harvard, Yale, MIT... might be a little tougher, since almost every student there has near-perfect academics and a lot of extracurriculars.
I don't understand why you necessarily want to go to an ivy league school. There are a lot of schools that are better in areas than ivy leagues. Cal-Tech is just as good as MIT if you ask me. Olin College of Engineering (bet you haven't even heard of it) is great too.
How you choose your school should depend on how good a program is at the university you're looking at.
Reply:You need to take SAT 2's and ACTs to be considered but that is pretty good.
