Good enough to get into an ivy school, such as Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Cornell, Dartmouth, or Brown? OR maybe even NYU??
GPA: 3.8- working on it
By the time high school ends, I will have taken these classes and have done these extracurrics for this many years….
8 AP classes
8 advanced classes
2 languages
~Varsity Golf team (4 years, but played for 7), and clinics, camps, and tournaments
~Martial arts black belt (4 years, but did for 7), 5 diff types of classes, each 2x a week
~JV Lacrosse (2 yrs)
~violin (4 years, but did for 9, over 17 concerts)
~piano lessons (2 yrs)
~college classes
~work experience
~a lot of volunteer work
~Latin Club (3 yrs)
~French Club (3 yrs)
~member of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution, for 2.5 years)
~newspaper staff of school (2 yrs)
What do you think to tell the truth??? And any insight from an attendee or alumni of one of these schools would be great. Thanks to all!!
Ivy Capable?
I think you have a chance at NYU at least. Don't know how hard it is for the others, but I have friends going there who were about the same grade-wise/school-wise. I also have a friend going to Brown, but I am not sure what her marks were like. Keep trying hard - good luck!
