Which ivy league school do I have the best chance at?

I want to be an architect major. I am a sophomore in high school. My GPA for freshman year was a 4.25 weighted and a 3.75 unweighted. By the end of high school, I plan to have a 4.65 weighted. I take all honors courses and next year, I will probably take AP U.S. History and possibly AP Italian. Senior year, I plan to take a good deal of AP classes as well, including Physics, Composition and Calculus. As of right now, I probably have near 100+ hours of community service and have many leadership positions. (Vice President of Environmental Club, Secretary of Interact, and team captain of my Relay for Life team). I have also continued to play the violin throughout middle school and am currently in Chamber Orchestra and Tri-M Music Honor Society. I also attend Central Hebrew High School on Sunday mornings. I play soccer, basketball, and softball. (Will most likely have varisity letters for all of them senior year). I always dreamed of going to an ivy league. Do I have a chance? Which one/s?

You should have a pretty good chance of getting into an Ivy League school. It's hard to predict though and you are still a couple of years away. I would recommend looking into Penn, Dartmouth, and Columbia as potential good matches for you.

By the way, race, religion, or gender should have no bearing on whether or not you will be accepted. If you are looking for a place where you will find a lot of students similar to you, any of the above 3 would be good places.
Reply:Your resume and plans are both excellent. You know where you are going. You should be able to get into Ivy League schools and of course you want one that has a good school of architecture.

Speak to your guidance counselor now so that you can begin looking. Keep up the good work.
