my friends sis. sadi poison ivy comes back every year. true or false
Does poison ivy come back every year?
You mean the plant or the rash? Poison ivy is an annual plant and will bloom and blossom every spring (or remain year round, depending on what area). The rash will not reappear the next year unless you come into contact with urushiol again.
Reply:A poison ivy rash on your skin only occurs after contact with the plant. So, if you come into contact with a poison ivy plant every year, then you will get a rash every year.
Reply:It grows every year unless you cut it down and pull it out. Then again, it can start by itself, as the birds seem to like the berries. So there is always new poison ivy every year. Oh, Joy!
Does it come back on your skin, every year? No, it does not if you are careful not to come into contact with it.
Reply:the plant will come back every year unless you kill it. you will not get it every year unless you touch it or in some cases stand down wind of it. If someone else touches it and then touches you you can get it.
Reply:yes it does re-grow unless it is eradicated by someone who knows what they are doing..
Reply:Poison ivy is a blooming plant and it is easiest to have an allergic reaction to it when it is blooming. If you get poison ivy, however, it will not reappear in a year.
Reply:The plant comes back every year, a person only contracts it on a yearly basis, if they get the oil on their skin.
If one is gardening before the leaves show up, you can still contract it from working around the bare vines.
One mistake people make is re-wearing contaminated clothing again. All clothing, including under ware even gloves(at least rinsed) should be laundered before being worn again.
Reply:it will grow back every year in the yard but does not come back on you unless you touch it.
