A smaller section of my back yard is circled with large oak trees. The ground is covered with ivy . Every year I fight to get the leaves out. Raking, leaf blower you name it.
Can I cover the ivy with a mesh or bird netting and then each week "draw" it up by the corners and drag it off? Is there a stronger layer I could use?

good idea;just don't use plastic or materiel that don't breath. you will have to take if off and let it aerate and get some sun, or you will take the chance of killing off your Ive.I say go for it!
