I have a ? about poison ivy, oak or sumac.?

my son is 10 years old and he has poison ivy all over his hands and neck, i took him to the Dr. and he gave him a perscription and it went away, but now it is starting to come back, what other method can i take to get rid of it.

i think he has an allergic reaction to poison ivy .

An allergic reaction will clear up on its own once you are no longer in contact with the poison ivy.



If your son responded to the prescription medication but symptoms came back without any further contact with the poison ivy than there is something else going on.



Have him checked by the doctor again.
Reply:I am currently suffering too!!! I feel for you. I have tried a few things over the past week or so. The thing that has worked best is a tube of "Medicated Anti-Itch Cream" I got at CVS. The active ingredient is Menthol 1% and Pramoxine Hydrochloride 1%. It feels wonderful. Good luck!
