are poison ivy leaves fuzzy and is the plant a shrub? i think i might have just fallen on a patch...need answers fast! thanks just describe them for me if you can
A Poison Ivy Question????
The leaves are not fuzzy. If you see vines in a tree that look hairy then stay away from them. Those are poison ivy. Poison is a plant that also can vine. They have 3 leaves that come from one place on a stem. If you still believe you have been exposed... remove all exposed clothing and wash it in hot water. You will want to shower to remove the oil that has come in contact with your skin. If you start to develop patchy rashes with bumps then treat it with calamine lotion to help dry it up. They do make a non pink calamine lotion now.
Just remember .. leaves of 3 let it be
and if it is a vine.... hairy is scary

Reply:Poison Ivy is a group of 3 very shiny bright green leaves cluster,a little larger than a "Ivy" leaf. They become a dark reddish green in the fall %26amp; spring. Poison zumac and poison oak does not have fuzzy leaves either, but can be a misery to those who get near it. When your out in the woods dress with long sleeves, and pants, wash all the clothes ASAP,even the shoes,to lessen the plant's oil contamination to others. The plant can be as large as a shrub,or small vine growing up a tree trunk,or in the garden like rose bushes. Pictures are on Google.Take care. SW RNP
Reply:poison ivy is not fuzzy or a shrub. its a three leave plant and its a vine so i doubt it was on the ground it grows up trees and stuff like that.
Reply:No, poison ivy isn't fuzzy. There are usually three oily/shiny looking leaves at the top. It's not a shrub. Maybe you fell into stinging nettles - they look fuzzy. Not sure what poison oak looks like...symptoms?
