How to stop getting posion ivy ?
My son is like you. It basically comes down to avoiding any contact with the plant in any way. Wearing clothing that covers your arm %26amp; legs helps, but once you take off your clothes, the oils from the plant that are on the clothes can easily come in contact with your skin or hands and your back to square one.

I don't know of any product that can be used a barrier on your skin--kinda like how sunscreen works. My son just knows to keep away from any bushes or plants that look anything close to poison oak (that's what we have here in Calif.).

When you do have the rash from the toxins, use Oil of Oregano to help speed up the process of drawing out the toxins from the skin. The oil has a burning sensation for about 5 - 10 minutes and you'll smell like a pizza, but it really helps as noted above.
Reply:There is nothing you can do except avoid it like the plague. I read an article on poison ivy a few years ago that said the more you expose yourself to it, the more allergic you become. It also said that the oil can still be potent for up to 1000 years. When my mom was pregnant with my brother, she got it from it being burned several blocks away. She had it EVERYWHERE. The nurses thought she had 3rd degree burns. I'd get someone else to do your yardwork.
Reply:check out exederm.com they've got a hydrocortisone flare cream with no additives
